Jeremy Holton

Our main tutor is a very experienced artist in a variety of mediums and will assist you in developing your techniques and style on a one to one basis.   Jeremy is a well-established artist in Western Australia with well over 1,000 paintings sold throughout the world.  With his Thai wife Waree, they operate the guest house.

Jeremy established the oldest web art gallery in the world View his work at

Painting Tuition

Visit our new website at for lots of great photos

We only have three rooms with a maximum of 5 guests.  As our guest's partners often don't paint this means that we usually have less than three artists painting.   Consequently, Jeremy can give each person full-time tuition on an individual basis.

We paint on our beautiful Terrace next to the Mekong with magnificent views over the river to Laos.

Jeremy is happy to work with artists from beginners through to seasoned professionals, emphasising letting go of reality, allowing the painting to take over and encouraging your imagination to soar.

Jeremy works mainly in mixed media oil pastels & ink and acrylic with alkyd oils.  The techniques he has developed stimulate creativity and imagination with scraping, dragging and glazing.  See his paintings at

In addition to painting, we offer our guests a wide variety of Thai culture experiences.  Waree, Jeremy's Thai wife, speaks excellent English and introduces our guests to village life, temples, markets and more.  We are far from the tourist centres and Thai/Lao people here don't speak English.  It is difficult to access this area without the help of a local.

It is very safe and local people are wonderful, always with a smile.  Waree takes our guests shopping, to her village and to have very cheap Thai massages.  She will even show you how to cook her delicious Thai food in her kitchen.

This holiday is not just about taking your work to a new level and discovering new ideas, imagination, and enthusiasm in your artistic journey, it is also about experiencing the magic of an ancient culture on the banks of the Mekong River
