Join us for a week of writing workshops, publishing seminars, and manuscript evaluations at our beautiful Berkshires campus.
Carole Maso will open this week-long intensive with a deep-dive writing workshop entitled Dream Box. Using the artist Joseph Cornell’s work as a model, workshoppers will create dream boxes of fiction, essay or poetry using the resonant emblems form our world and lives, along with found objects, diaries, letters, or other ephemera, as a way to think about narrative. Those working in all genres are welcome.
Each day following, professionals including agents, publishers and writers will visit, offer seminars, workshops, and manuscript review.
Editor-in-Chief of Literary Hub Jonny Diamond will offer a seminar on Revision and Reflection and what gets people talking about a writer’s new book.
Critic and essayist Naomi Huffman will teach a crash course on publishing with an independent press, what they’re looking for, and how to interact with their editors.
Sound artist Samita Sinha will lead a workshop on voice from a foundation of Indian music, considering the subtle and radical possibilities of tone and rhythm, inflection and embodiment.
This magical week includes a private bedroom and studio, all meals, wine-tastings, manuscript reviews options, local field trips, and an intense week of work and community.
