Crystal Cave. This is a blue ice cave carved by a river beneath a glacier as warm temperatures melt the ice.

I took this picture during a photo tour I led to Iceland in March, 2017. It is a 7-frame HDR composite. I used the Canon 16-35mm III for the composition. More pictures of Iceland, and more information about the photo tours I lead, can be found on my website:

Jim Zuckerman left his medical studies in 1970 to pursue his love of photography and turn it into a career. Jim leads photography tours to exotic destinations such as Indonesia, Ethiopia, Namibia, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Patagonia, Iceland and Mongolia, plus conducts workshops to photograph frogs and reptiles, snowy owls, carnival in Venice, and more.
