Milky Way over Lake Superior
Cook County in Minnesota has some of the darkest night skies in the lower 48. The county is over 90% public land and this small island is located on public land. Here the Milky Way hovers over Lake Superior.

He started his popular photography workshop program in 2006. His programs take students to the best and often unknown locations in the northland and across the nation to many National Parks. He lives in Grand Marais, Minnesota.
