Painting in the garden

Painting in the garden

With a maximum of three artists staying with us, Jeremy can give you individual advice and help you develop your work with new approaches and overcoming any “artist’s block” you may have.

Jeremy’s unique techniques with mixed media oil pastel & ink or modelling paste, acrylic paint and alkyd oils helps you escape reality, let the painting take over and unleash your imagination.  View his work at

Artist working on our terrace on the banks of the Mekong River in NE Thailand

We paint on our terrace next to the Mekong River with views across the river to Laos.  You can paint for as long as you like and Jeremy is available to help 12 hours each day.  We have music, fruit, nibbles, fresh ground coffee included all day long. Plus a bar, cold drinks, high speed WiFi, air conditioning (not usually required from October to January), karaoke, keyboard music, Western, Thai and local food etc.  You need to visit our website for details

One of our trips to Wat Phu Tok

A small boutique arts guesthouse where we help painters develop their art and introduce them to the magic of rural Thailand

Jeremy’s Thai wife, Waree, will be your personal guide to rural Thailand culture.  There is so much to do locally with markets, temples and village activities.  In addition to this, we take our guests on as many trips as they want. The friendly local Thai people don’t speak English (they speak a Lao dialect of Thai) and without a local guide, it is very difficult to access many of the places we take our guests.

Waree will help you bargain in the market, take you to wonderful Thai massages (incredibly cheap), explore local foods and show you how to cook delicious Thai meals in her kitchen.

All of our guests give us five-star reviews and you can see them on our website.  Surprisingly our rates are much cheaper than other painting holidays where you will be competing for attention with many more artists.

Sunset over Laos

Sunset over Laos and the Mekong from our Terrace

At the end of the day our guests like to relax and chat beside the Mekong with a lovely cool drink.
