Drawing the Human Form

Jane Brennan

September 8-9

This will be an intensive weekend drawing session for those interested in sketching or painting the human form. It is an opportunity for beginners to learn and for experienced artists to fine tune their drawing skills. Class will begin with quick poses, allowing the opportunity to capture the essence of our professional models with gesture drawings. Then we will move on to short poses, before settling in for the longer figure studies. Beginner to Intermediate

Jane began her college education at Sussex County College, and returned to teach varied Art and Design courses as an Adjunct Professor for many years. In addition to college training she has studied with Mel Stabin, who is a prolific plein air painter and teacher. Jane works intuitively, primarily in watercolor and charcoal as well as in various other mediums, including paper and fiber arts. For over 30 years her studio; nestled in a high valley near the Appalachian Trail in the Kittatinny mountains of rural NJ, has been a major source of inspiration.

Tuition: $325

Studio/Materials Fee: $65
