Collagraph is a printmaking technique which operates, as the name suggests, on the basis of collage. Students will assemble textured collages, out of prosaic items to create compositions with a wide range of tonal areas. It is a particularly robust, direct and unfussy type of printmaking, perfectly suited to both beginner and seasoned printmaker

Over the course of the workshop participants will be introduced to a range of approaches to making a collagraph, including materials and supports; various methods of plate construction; basic and advanced inking techniques using both intaglio and relief methods.

In an effort to maintain our non-toxic environment, the Woodstock School of Art  does not permit the use of turpentine or mineral spirits. Additionally, please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne or scents of any kind. Learn more.
